The Girly Morning Routine Checklist

Make some time for yourself in the morning with these feminine morning routine ideas. (This content contains Amazon affiliate links.)


The first thing I do in the morning is take care of my skin. Your skin can collect oils and dirt through the night and from your pillow case. Wash your face first thing when you get up and then apply a moisturizer to your face, neck and back of your hands. Doing this will keep your skin hydrated and keep you from developing wrinkles later in life.





My favorite moisturizer for summer is the Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Facial Moisturizer. It is lightweight so it won't clog your pores!


My favorite moisturizer for winter is the Garnier SkinActive 3-in-1 Face Moisturizer with Rose Water. This is a heavier bodied moisturizer that will give you a lot of hydration when it's cold and dry.


The best face wash, my tried and true, is Clean & Clear Essentials Foaming Facial Cleanser Sensitive Skin. This can be used to remove oils and makeup. What I love most about it, is that it doesn't sting if you get it in your eyes!











The next thing to do is make a healthy breakfast. For me, breakfast often needs to be quick, low-maintenance, and light, so that I don't end up feeling lethargic afterward.


Some healthy options: Fruits, a granola bar, egg whites plain or with one egg yolk, turkey bacon, turkey sausage, avocado toast, oatmeal, whole wheat toast.


With this said, every so often, try something new! I love to wake up and try a new breakfast food, recipe, or tea. Find something to get excited about.


Have warm tea from a beautiful mug. Different types of teas have different health benefits. Discover what could benefit you that also has a taste you love. Personally, I drink vanilla chai and mix it with vanilla collagen powder. I pick a mug with an inspirational saying or a charming design.














Next I will clean up a bit and air the home or room out. Do this regularly. There's nothing worse than coming home to an unpleasant smell. Open your windows and have fans blowing inside for a few hours. Afterward use some candles, potpourri or wax melts!















Incorporate personal and spiritual growth into your routine. For me, I like to look at art, read a few pages or chapter of a book, and at least one poem a day.


Other ideas are:

-Listening to music you've never heard before.

-Taking a free class online

-Watching a tutorial for something you want to learn online

-Signing up for an email list that will educate you in whatever you choose. In the past I have signed up for word a day email lists.

-Do positive affirmations in the mirror

-Write down your goals for the day and manifest them with hopeful feelings. Check out my girly stationery, which you can use for lists, letters, or diary entries.
