The Best Girly Halloween Decor DIYS (Includes Printables)

Updated: Oct 1, 2021

So maybe you like Halloween but don't want to go full-on scary with your decorations. Change it up by using light pinks, sherbert orange, light purple or green colors with black, and by trying some of these awesome DIYS! (This blog post contains Amazon Affiliate links.)

1. Buy a Styrofoam skull and glue pink silk flowers or fake succulents to

the top, in one eyeball or both.

2. Make your own witch's broom to set out on your porch. See my tutorial here.

3. Make a Halloween wreath. Paint a wreath black and add embellishments, such as plastic spiders, bats, flowers, or pumpkins.

4. Create a fake wicked witch. Buy some white and black striped stockings. Take an old pair of heels and paint them with a red sparkly spray paint. Put the heels into the stockings and place underneath something.

5. Make a Spell Book. Find an old large, heavy book. Use hot glue or yarn to create spider webs. Spray paint it black. Use acrylic paint to add a title such as "Spell Book," "Spells." Add embellishments.

6. Make a playlist on Youtube of your favorite Halloween or witchy songs. Some suggestions,

"Monster Mash"

"Monster" by Nicki Minaj or Lady Gaga

"Come Little Children"

"Season of the Witch" Lana Del Rey

"Graveyard" Halsey

"Crystal" Stevie Nicks

7. Make your own cupcake toppers. Print these graphics out on cardstock and glue or tape them to toothpicks. (These images are licensed and for personal use only. Commercial use is prohibited.)

8. Paint a pumpkin. A chic look is black or white polka dots, or even

stripes.

9. Cut spider webs out of paper.

10. Create a likeness of your favorite spooky character (Morticia Addams? A witch from Hocus Pocus?) from a movie or show, whether through drawing, on paper or with clay.

11. Print some girly Halloween wall art found at Laura W. Prints.

12. Balance large tree limbs up on your porch. Hot glue, or perch fake black crows on the branches. Gather pumpkins at the base of the limbs.

13. Pick up some black spray paint! Many of these projects use black spray paint, and it can transform something ordinary into something spooky.

What are you waiting for? Bring the creativity and get festive!
